My favorite way to explore a new city (or a familiar one) is to just walk - take in the buildings, the people, the houses, the hills. This was our second time in Chattanooga and we went with two cameras, a puppy, and our usual amount of $$ (little, hah).
I love Chattanooga's historic buildings and down to earth vibes. So many dogs and people walking around with no place to go. We caught it on a beautiful day so that made it all the sweeter.
I get my black and white rolls developed at a local makers collective, Fort Houston. I love knowing the people who develop my shots - half of the work / creativity is in their hands (I ramble on that a bit over here - leah-gray.com/journal/process). A few of these shots had some lines in them that we weren't quite sure of the source, but I actually really loved it. Shows the humanity of film photography - it's not perfect and that's the beauty.
I have some things coming that I'm really excited about. Projects / stories / super cool ideas. Can't wait to share!
Happy monday, friends!
